Highlights from 2009:
Choo, Choo Charley Train Rides with Cape Cod Central
Railroad. Children will sing and dance in their seats from the festival
to Buzzards Bay and back. Departures will be from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Tickets are $10.00 and will be available at Tihonet Village Market, 146 Tihonet Road, Wareham, 508-295-5437, at the Festival or by calling
508-295-7870 for more information.
Roaming Railroad is a 27 passenger trackless train that will ride throughout the festival the entire day. Rides $3.00. www.roamingrailroad.com
Toe Jam Puppet Band with Tom and Vinny will be joining us in the afternoon to the delight of the children. |
Back again by popular demand:
- The Dick Melloni Foundation. Rich Melloni has graciously offered to fit 1,000 children to free bicycle helmets.
- The MYCHIP safety program with the Masonic Lodge since 1988 has helped law enforcement find over 250,000 lost or missing children. Safety kits will be available to the first 300 children.
DNA testing, dental impressions, fingerprinting and video showing the childs body language.
- “Be a Swan Prince or Princess for the Day” Children should come in their Disney/other costumes adding to the enchantment. Our fairies will do hair ( by Winna of Total Image
Salon), make-up, nails, face painting, tiaras, crown coloring, sash decorating, bag & mask decorating & tattoos. Our fairy god mothers will sprinkle them with magic fairy dust.
- Aleppo Shine Clowns will do their pocket magic and balloon twisting. The W.V.A. gives a percentage of the profits to Shiner’s Burn Institute and to the transportation of their
families.
- Danielle Lopes of Adagio & The Balancing Room Dance Academy will be co-ordinating dance performances with other dance and music schools. This is great for all the Aunts, Uncles or Grandparents
that may have missed the recitals.
- Home Depot will be doing demonstrations throughout the day.
- Live entertainment with 50s band Daddy O!, Blues Alley,
teen rockabilly sensation
Brenna and Grace Morrison.
